Even during today’s session, the Constitution of the Kosovo Assembly was not achieved, as the proposal to form the electoral commission which would enable a secret ballot vote for the election of the Assembly Speaker failed again.

The session chair, Avni Dehari, called on political parties to propose representatives for the electoral commission, but despite the request, the proposal did not receive support and failed for the 24th time.

This commission, which would allow for a secret vote on Albulena Haxhiu from the Vetëvendosje Movement, who is a candidate for Assembly Speaker, remains blocked, further delaying the formation of the new institutions.

There were 96 deputies present in the session. The vote counted 53 in favor, 1 against, and no abstentions.

Following this failure, the session was suspended and is scheduled to resume after 48 hours.
