Today, for the 15th time, the deputies of Kosovo will convene in an attempt to form the Parliament.

Deputy from the AAK (Alliance for the Future of Kosovo), Time Kadriaj, stated that while Vetëvendosje has the right to propose a candidate for Speaker of the Assembly, they must also secure the necessary votes.

She also commented on the invitation made by President Vjosa Osmani to the political parties. Kadriaj emphasized that any discussion aimed at resolving this political impasse is welcome for AAK.

Kadriaj further emphasized their expectations from the president, stating that they are waiting for her to offer alternatives to break the deadlock.

“We have accepted any discussion in this situation, and any effort to break this impasse is welcomed. We will see how the discussions progress, and what the president proposes. We will also evaluate the positions of other parties. In fact, the president should offer some alternatives, as she is the president of the country,” Kadriaj said.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has submitted the matter regarding the formation of a commission for a secret ballot in the Constitutive Session of the Kosovo Assembly to the Constitutional Court. Kadriaj noted that they have requested urgent attention from the court.

“We have requested it to be treated urgently and as a priority. We do not set the deadlines for the Constitutional Court regarding when they will address it. We have made our request and are waiting,” she concluded.
