Kosovo Assembly to Set Agenda for Next Session, Review Key Legislation and International Agreements

The Kosovo Assembly’s Presidency will convene on Monday at 11:00 to determine the agenda for the next plenary session, which will include the review of several draft laws, international agreements, and the formation of ad-hoc committees for selecting candidates for public institutions.

Among the items on the agenda are:

  • Draft Law No. 10/L-010 on the ratification of “Amendment No. 2 to the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for the IPA 2017 Program.”
  • Draft laws for ratifying credit agreements with the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, covering projects in solar energy, energy efficiency in public buildings, the Prishtina–Mitrovica high-speed road, and the wastewater treatment plant in Podujevë.

The Assembly will also discuss the formation of ad-hoc committees for selecting candidates for one member and several members of the Independent Media Commission, as well as for the Board of the Radio Television of Kosovo, ensuring representation from Albanian, Serbian, and non-majority communities.

  • Approval of minutes from the previous Presidency meeting
  • Proposal and approval of the agenda for the next plenary session
  • Parliamentary questions and statements outside the agenda
  • Review of Draft Law No. 10/L-008 on access to higher education and studies in the Western Balkans
  • Review of Draft Law No. 10/L-009 on ratifying Amendment No. 3 to the Financial Agreement for IPA 2018
  • Ratification of various credit agreements for infrastructure and energy projects
  • Formation of ad-hoc committees for appointing members to the Independent Media Commission and the Radio Television of Kosovo Board, including representation from all communities
  • Proposal from the Serb List parliamentary group to appoint deputy Branislav Nikoliq to parliamentary committees

The session will focus on advancing Kosovo’s legislative and institutional processes, including international cooperation and development projects.
