Kosovo is set to hold a final farewell ceremony tomorrow for Bujar Bukoshi, the former Prime Minister of the country. According to the family announcement, his funeral will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 14:00, at the Memorial Park in Velania, Prishtina.
“On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, our beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather, Bujar Bukoshi, passed away. The public may pay their respects on Thursday, June 12, from 10:00 to 13:00 in the lobby of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo,” the family stated.
To honor his memory, condolences (pamja) will be received at Grand Hotel Prishtina from Friday to Sunday (June 13–15, 2025), from 09:00 to 17:00.
Bujar Bukoshi served as a key political figure during the 1990s and was one of the prominent architects of Kosovo’s parallel governance during the occupation, including serving as the Prime Minister of the Government-in-Exile.
