The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, has signed a memorandum of cooperation for the exchange of cadets between the KSF University Studies Center and the Royal Military College Saint-Jean of Canada.
According to the KSF’s announcement, this agreement will enable cooperation between the two academies, allowing for the reciprocal exchange of cadets during academic semesters and years.
“Starting from the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, the first exchanges between the two academies will take place,” the announcement stated.
The agreement aims to enhance the development of KSF cadets, advance the “Noncommissioned Officer in the Armed Forces” professional program, and improve interoperability within the KSF.
“From 2025, KSF cadets will have the opportunity to study for one semester in Canada, sharing experiences with their Canadian counterparts, and vice versa,” the announcement further highlighted.
Additionally, the KSF’s priority under General Jashari’s leadership is to provide international opportunities for the University Studies Center (USC) and cadet exchange programs to increase the quality of military education and professionalism of both cadets and officers within the Kosovo Security Force.
The signing of this agreement is significant as it fosters the culture of collaboration among allied nations early in the military careers of cadets, paving the way for future military cooperation.
