The Constitutional Court of Kosovo has responded to the requests submitted by MPs Memli Krasniqi (PDK), Hykmete Bajrami (LDK), and 22 other deputies regarding the issue of secret voting. The Court has decided to impose an ex officio interim measure, prohibiting any action by elected members of the Assembly from July 27 until August 8, 2025.

Court Order Details

The Court’s decision specifies:

  1. To impose an ex officio interim measure prohibiting any decision and action by the elected deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo concerning the Constitutive Session after the expiration of the 30-day period, as defined in paragraph 2 of point II of the operative part of Judgment KO124/25.
  2. To order that the interim measure takes effect on July 27, 2025, and remains in force until August 8, 2025.
  3. To communicate this Decision to the parties.
  4. To publish this Decision in the Official Gazette, in accordance with Article 20.4 of the Law.
  5. This Decision enters into force on July 27, 2025.

This ruling means that despite efforts to constitute the new Assembly following the February elections, no further steps can be taken by the deputies regarding the constitutive session during the specified period.
