The Kosovo Customs announced that customs officers have prevented several smuggling attempts at the Vërmica border crossing, involving express postal shipments containing various goods.
According to the statement, the estimated value of the seized items exceeds €5,000, based on initial assessments. Customs officials are currently verifying the total value of the products and ensuring that all shipment documents comply with customs regulations.
“Misdemeanor procedures have been initiated against those responsible, while the goods have been seized in accordance with the law,” the statement read.
Kosovo Customs reaffirmed its commitment to protecting public health and ensuring that all medical equipment entering the Republic of Kosovo is safe, certified, and inspected according to legal standards.
