Pristina, Kosovo – June 19, 2025 – Temporary traffic disruptions are expected in Kosovo from tomorrow, Friday, June 20, through Saturday, June 21, due to cycling races organized by the Kosovo Cycling Federation. Several key roads will experience temporary closures for vehicles, including the “Arbën Xhaferi” highway, National Road N9, and the “Ibrahim Rugova” highway.

Race Schedule and Road Closure Details

Here’s a breakdown of the race schedule and affected road segments:

  • June 20, 2025 (Friday):
    • From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the “Arbën Xhaferi” highway will be temporarily closed for traffic.
    • The closure will affect the segment from the Lipjan entrance/exit to the Bibaj entrance/exit, in the direction of Pristina – Hani i Elezit.
  • June 21, 2025 (Saturday):
    • The second day of the race will take place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
    • The affected route includes: “Arbën Xhaferi” highway – Bibaj entrance/exit – Babush – Lipjan – Pristina (Uglar) – Bresje – National Road N9 to Gjergjicë – “Ibrahim Rugova” highway – Malishevë – Duhel and vice-versa.

Police Advisory and Traffic Management

The Kosovo Police has announced that they will implement necessary police measures and actions on the ground to manage traffic flow. They are requesting understanding from all road users and advise them to consider using alternative routes during these time intervals to avoid potential delays and congestion.
