Kosovo Police arrested Gzim Jahirović in Mitrovica today on suspicion of pressuring members of the Roma community in northern Kosovo to vote for the Serb List. The arrest is part of a broader operation aimed at combating electoral manipulation and ensuring a fair and democratic voting process.

According to sources from KosovaPress, Jahirović collaborated with illegal Serbian structures and acted under the instructions of Milan Radoičić to coerce the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian (RAE) community into supporting the Serb List.

Reports indicate that intimidation tactics included threats to cut off social aid and child benefits provided by the Serbian government. Jahirović is said to have personally contacted members of the Roma community, applying pressure to secure their votes.

Authorities confirm that Jahirović is not a new figure in criminal activities. He was previously arrested on November 30, 2024, following a terrorist attack at the Ibër-Lepenc canal. He has long been associated with “Civil Defense”, a known terrorist organization engaged in destabilizing activities in northern Kosovo.

Kosovo authorities consider his latest arrest a significant step in the fight against illegal structures and political coercion in the region. Investigations are ongoing, and officials do not rule out further arrests related to the case.
