The online system of the Central Election Commission (CEC), which processes and reports election results, has faced significant issues since the night of February 9. The failures have sparked public criticism against the CEC and institutions responsible for system maintenance.

Kosovo Government Denies Involvement
Government spokesperson Perparim Kryeziu responded to the accusations, clarifying that the government has no role in managing the CEC’s servers or software:

“The Government of Kosovo has nothing to do with the CEC servers or the election digitization software, including the reporting of voter turnout and preliminary results.”

He further stated that:
Germany donated servers and equipment for the Counting and Results Center.
The OSCE procured the software as a donation.
Public statements and media reports confirm this.

Election Integrity Assured
Kryeziu emphasized that all votes will be counted, and the will of the people will not be altered:

“Accusations against the government regarding technical issues are a low attempt to create confusion and undermine trust in the electoral process and its results.”

The CEC continues to face technical difficulties, but authorities assure that the election process remains transparent and secure.
