The Central Election Commission (KQZ) of Kosovo has yet to announce the final results of the February 9 parliamentary elections, despite completing the vote count on March 5.
Although the counting process has concluded, several complaints filed with the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) have delayed the official announcement. Previously, KQZ spokesperson Valmir Elezi stated that the final results would be announced on March 5, with certification scheduled for March 18.
The ruling party, Vetëvendosje (LVV), has called for the annulment and re-run of diaspora postal voting, alleging ballot manipulation. Vetëvendosje secured 51.57% of the postal votes, amounting to over 31,000 ballots. The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) received 30.55%, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) 9.48%, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo – Nisma coalition 3.23%.
To secure a majority in the 120-seat parliament, a party or coalition needs at least 61 deputies. Vetëvendosje emerged as the leading party with 396,022 votes (42.27%), winning 48 seats. However, opposition parties, except for Nisma, have ruled out the possibility of forming a coalition with LVV.
