As of 16:00 today, the recount of 36 out of 50 polling stations has been completed following yesterday’s decision by the Central Election Commission (CEC).

According to the CEC statement, 33 out of 35 polling stations in Vushtrri have been recounted, while only 3 out of 15 stations in other municipalities have been processed.

During yesterday’s meeting, the CEC approved two recommendations presented by Arianit Elshani, a member from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). The first recommendation called for a recount in 15 polling stations due to discrepancies between the number of signatures in the voter list and the number of ballots found in the boxes.

The second recommendation mandated a recount in 35 polling stations due to inconsistencies in the results of Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) candidates in Vushtrri.

“The recount process is taking place in the presence of accredited observers,” the CEC statement emphasized.
