The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Japan has expressed its deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of South Korea following the tragic events that have struck the country, where at least 24 people have lost their lives due to massive wildfires.
In a statement published on its official page, the Kosovo Embassy conveyed solidarity and support from the people of Kosovo to the families of the victims and the injured.
“On behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo, we wish to express our deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Korea and extend our sincere sympathies to the grieving families and those injured. The Republic of Kosovo stands with the Republic of South Korea in this painful moment,” the statement reads.
According to Korean authorities, most of the victims are between the ages of 60 and 70, while 26 others have been injured, with 12 in critical condition. More than 23,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes due to the fires.
