The President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Friday signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), authorizing over $901 billion for defense programs, including provisions related to Kosovo.

The Kosovo Embassy in Washington welcomed the move, stating that it reaffirms the U.S.’s strong support for the Republic of Kosovo.

“The United States has reaffirmed its strong support for the Republic of Kosovo through the approval of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The law underscores U.S. commitment to Kosovo’s sovereignty, security, and Euro-Atlantic path, supports the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue based on mutual recognition, and clearly opposes any idea of territorial division or border changes. We are grateful to Congress, the White House, and all those who contributed to the inclusion and approval of provisions of importance for the Republic of Kosovo,” the Embassy said in a statement.

This move signals a continued strategic partnership between the U.S. and Kosovo, highlighting Washington’s commitment to regional stability and Kosovo’s integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions.
