The Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE) Board held a meeting with Christian Böttcher, the Deputy Ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, to discuss recent developments in the energy sector, with a strong focus on the liberalization of the electricity market.
According to ZRRE’s statement, the discussions emphasized the long-term benefits for consumers, including:
- Increased efficiency in the energy system
- Improved service quality
- The opportunity for customers to choose their suppliers
The liberalization process was also highlighted as key to attracting new investments, contributing to both sustainable economic growth and a more resilient energy sector in Kosovo.
ZRRE noted Germany’s significant role in supporting Kosovo’s energy development through technical assistance, expertise, and various projects.
“This meeting provided an important opportunity to discuss future cooperation and enhance coordination for the sustainable energy development of Kosovo,” the statement concluded.
