Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, has urged the European Union to grant Kosovo candidate status for EU membership and lift existing measures imposed on the country.
In a post on social media platform X, Osmani congratulated Poland on assuming the Presidency of the EU Council, expressing eagerness to collaborate with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
“It’s time for Kosovo to be granted candidate status and for the unjust EU measures against the people of Kosovo to be lifted,” Osmani wrote.
She also commended Hungary for its dedication during its tenure leading the EU Council presidency.
