Prishtina will be in the spotlight tonight as the Kosovo national football team takes on Switzerland in the final round of direct qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The match kicks off at 20:45 at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium, where thousands of passionate fans are expected to create an electrifying atmosphere.

Kosovo enters the game with 10 points in Group K, trailing Switzerland, who lead the group with 13 points.

Coach Franco Foda highlighted the importance of a strong performance and praised several key players, particularly Fisnik Asllani, who has impressed with crucial goals and decisive movements in tight spaces.

While Kosovo remains mathematically in contention for direct qualification, a 6:0 victory over Switzerland is considered highly unlikely.

Currently, Granit Xhaka’s Switzerland tops the group, while Kosovo sits in second place. Regardless of tonight’s outcome, Kosovo is assured of a spot in the playoffs, where they will aim for a World Cup berth in March 2026.
