Kosovo–France: Education, Culture, and Sports at the Heart of Cooperation

The Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Liza Gashi, held an official meeting in Paris with Éléonore Caroit, the French Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, responsible for Francophonie, International Partnerships, and French Citizens Abroad.

The meeting took place in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere, reflecting the close and longstanding relations between Kosovo and France, the MFA of Kosovo announced.

Discussions focused on deepening bilateral cooperation, including Kosovo’s engagement within the International Organization of La Francophonie, as well as partnerships in education, culture, and sports. France reaffirmed its support for the organization of the “Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games.”

Deputy Minister Gashi expressed high appreciation for France’s consistent support, describing it as a steadfast friend and partner of Kosovo. She also praised France’s commitment to feminist diplomacy and the inclusion of women in international decision-making, emphasizing Kosovo’s dedication to contributing to the Francophone and cultural space.

Both sides agreed to intensify cooperation in the fields of Francophonie, development, and cultural diplomacy, guided by friendship and shared European values.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Gashi was accompanied by Kosovo’s Ambassador to France, Mehdi Halimi.
