Kosovo Hosts CEFTA Week — Here Is the Agenda

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, in cooperation with the CEFTA Secretariat, is today organizing “CEFTA Week 2025 – Joint Trade, Towards Europe.”

During CEFTA Week, several results from the previous period will be presented, along with the plans of the new incoming chairmanship, in addition to offering a broader EU perspective.

At the opening ceremony, the following will address the audience:
Rozeta Hajdari, Acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Innovation;
Valentina Sujerti, Director from the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Neighbourhood (online);
Amer Kapetanović, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council;
Matij Zakonjšek, Director from the Transport Community;
and Pranvera Kastrati, Director at the CEFTA Secretariat.

There will also be a high-level discussion dedicated to exploring the role of CEFTA and regional trade agreements in an era of increased uncertainty, as well as shifting trade models and alliances.

The opening session will set the direction for “CEFTA Week 2025”, addressing how regional trade agreements such as CEFTA contribute to economic resilience, competitiveness, and convergence with the EU at a time of global instability.

Participants will explore the strategic role of CEFTA within the Common Regional Market 2.0 and its alignment with the EU’s Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.

The discussion will highlight key achievements in CEFTA’s regional trade integration, new challenges arising from supply-chain disruptions, geopolitical tensions, and climate-driven trade policies, as well as CEFTA’s contribution to building a predictable, rules-based trade environment grounded in EU standards.

Rozeta Hajdari, Acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Acting CEFTA Chair;
Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation, upcoming CEFTA Chair for 2026;
Staša Košarac, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations (TBC);
Zoran Dimitrovski, Deputy Minister of Foreign and Foreign Trade Affairs;
Nik Gjeloshaj, Minister of Economic Development;
and Jagoda Lazarević, Minister of Internal and Foreign Affairs (TBC).
