On August 22, 2024, the Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), Petrit Ajeti, welcomed the Director of the CIA, William Burns.
As a permanent gesture of gratitude towards the United States, the CIA, and personally Mr. Burns, a symbolic plaque was unveiled at the AKI’s central facility.
The plaque was unveiled by the two directors, Petrit Ajeti and William Burns. Alongside the emblems of both agencies, the plaque features a message that the American military officer Joseph Burns had conveyed to his son, William Burns: “Nothing can make you prouder than serving your country with honor!”
