Kosovo Islamic Community Announces Eid al-Fitr Prayer at 06:18

The Presidency of the Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK) has informed worshippers that the holy month of Ramadan will conclude on Thursday, and the Eid al-Fitr prayer will take place at 06:18.

According to the BIK announcement, Chief Imam Vedat ef. Sahiti will lead the Eid prayer.

“The central event for the Eid al-Fitr celebration in Kosovo will be held at the Grand Mosque in Prishtina. The program begins at 05:03 with the morning (sabah) prayer, followed by a thematic sermon dedicated to the holiday by the Chief Imam of the KBI in Ferizaj, Ibrahim ef. Beqiri. The Eid al-Fitr prayer will be performed at 06:18, led by the Chief Imam of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Vedat ef. Sahiti,” the statement reads.

Additionally, the Eid sermon (khutbah) will be delivered by the Mufti of Kosovo, Naim ef. Tërnava, addressing the public with the holiday message.

On the first day of Eid, March 20, 2026, BIK will also host a traditional reception at its headquarters from 09:00 to 12:00. The Presidency of the Islamic Community of Kosovo extends its greetings to all worshippers and the broader public, praying that God accepts their fasting, prayers, and acts of devotion.

“Eid Mubarak to all! May this celebration bring joy and blessings to everyone,” the announcement concluded.
