Kosovo’s Mobility Scholarship has been officially presented to students, aiming to facilitate access to education regardless of geographical distance or economic situation, reports Ekonomia Online.
Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Acting Minister of Finance, Labor, and Transfers Hekuran Murati emphasized that the program is not only a financial aid scheme but part of a broader vision for social justice and equality in education.
Kurti stated:
“We are not talking only about a financial support scheme but a wider vision for a republic where education is accessible, fair, and equal for everyone. With the Mobility Scholarship, our government is addressing a real challenge faced by many students over the years. This program is designed within the social justice framework because geographical distance and economic situation should not be obstacles to quality education. Investing in education is investing in Kosovo’s future. We will double the budget for scholarships.”
Minister Murati added that while the initiative was initially planned for next year, efforts were made to implement it this year, allowing students to benefit immediately:
“This is a measure we have worked hard to implement. You are among the first beneficiaries,” he said.
The Mobility Scholarship represents a step toward equal educational opportunities and support for students across Kosovo.
