Kosovo’s top leaders — President Vjosa Osmani, Parliament Speaker Dimal Basha, and Prime Minister Albin Kurti — paid tribute to the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.
The leaders laid wreaths at the memorial plaque located in the courtyard of the Government building near the Parliament, according to Ekonomia Online.
The September 11, 2001 attacks remain one of the most tragic events in modern U.S. history. Four passenger planes were hijacked by Al-Qaeda members: two planes crashed into the Twin Towers in New York, one into the Pentagon, and another in a field in Pennsylvania, where passengers attempted to stop the hijackers.
