The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the deadline for political parties to certify their participation in the local elections scheduled for October 12, as well as the deadline for declaring participation through coalitions.
According to the CEC, parties have until June 23 to make these declarations. Within this timeframe, political parties must also notify the Office if they do not wish to be certified for participation in these elections.
Certification Process and Contact Information
The CEC has provided a contact number, 038 200 81 010, accessible from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for additional information for political parties.
As per the Law on General Elections, within 15 days of the President of Kosovo announcing the election date, a registered political party that does not wish to be certified for elections must inform the Office that it will not compete, or that it will seek certification through a coalition in accordance with the law.
