The Executive Director of the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency, Bekim Hoxha, visited Podgorica today to deepen cooperation with Montenegrin authorities in the fields of food security and veterinary health.
Hoxha was welcomed by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, Vladimir Joković, and the Head of the Montenegrin Food Authority, Vladimir Đaković
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the authorities of both countries, particularly in exchanging information to improve food safety for consumers in Kosovo and Montenegro.
“Kosovo will benefit from Montenegro’s expertise, especially in controlling marine products, a field in which Montenegro excels. The two sides also discussed creating easier business conditions, especially in veterinary and phytosanitary border controls,” the statement noted.
In the coming months, both countries will continue working on improving cross-border trade and ensuring the safety of food products.
