In 2024, the Kosovo Assembly spent a total of €3.7 million on its 120 elected members. The vast majority of this, €3.3 million (or precisely €3,373,423.60), went towards their salaries over the 12 months.

The remaining funds fall under the category of “goods and services,” which includes airline tickets, accommodation, phone top-ups, per diems, and official lunches, Interaktiv Talks reports.

For the latter, the Assembly spent nearly €80,000 in 2024, specifically €79,177. Lunch expenses ranged from symbolic, like the €50 lunch hosted by Saranda Bogujevci for the British Ambassador and the Minister of Culture, Hajrullah Çeku, to exorbitant. For instance, a bill for “Drinks and food for 100 people” for a Francophonie delegation cost a staggering €5,249.
