Kosovo on the Agenda at UN Security Council Meeting on Tuesday

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will convene on Tuesday for its second regular briefing of the year on the situation in Kosovo.

Deputy Special Representative and Head of Mission for the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Milbert Dongjoon Shin, is expected to present the latest Secretary-General’s report on UNMIK, which was circulated to Council members on October 10. The report covers developments from March 16 to September 15, 2025.

Both Kosovo and the European Union (EU) are anticipated to participate under Rule 39.

During the briefing, Shin is expected to highlight key political and security developments in Kosovo during the reporting period, providing the Council with updates on governance, stability, and ongoing UNMIK activities.
