The Kosovo Parliament has approved the second reading of the 2025 budget with 61 votes in favor, and no votes against or abstentions. This marks the formal approval of the budget distribution for the upcoming fiscal year.
During the plenary session held on Thursday, the opposition parties accused the government of violations in the proposed budget, even calling for it to be removed from the vote entirely. Before the vote, the three main opposition parties—PDK, LDK, and AAK—left the hall in protest.
The 2025 budget was initially approved on November 11, with only the ruling party’s members casting their votes.
For 2025, the budget is set at 3.6 billion euros, with 930 million euros allocated for capital investments—an increase of 71 million euros compared to this year.
