The Assembly of Kosovo will hold a solemn session on March 5 at 10:00 to mark the 28th anniversary of the Epic of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), announced the Speaker of Parliament, Albulena Haxhiu, following a meeting of the Assembly Presidency.

According to Haxhiu, members of the Presidency agreed to organize the commemorative session dedicated to the historic events associated with the KLA. In addition to the country’s top state leaders, representatives of parliamentary groups are also expected to address the session, highlighting the significance of the anniversary for Kosovo’s recent history.

During the same meeting, the Presidency also discussed the proposal submitted by the Secretary General of the Kuvendi i Republikës së Kosovës. However, members requested additional information to complete the existing documentation, and the issue will therefore be reviewed further at the next meeting of the Assembly Presidency.

Haxhiu further stated that the Presidency examined several requests related to the Draft Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence, which has been introduced as a citizen-led initiative. She noted that the Assembly leadership agreed to meet with the initiators of the proposal in order to discuss the objectives and details of the initiative.

In addition, the Presidency addressed several administrative matters as part of its regular agenda.
