Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during his official visit to the United States, paid tribute at the 9/11 Memorial in New York, honoring the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
In a post on the social platform X, Kurti described the commemoration as a painful experience and highlighted the sacrifice and resilience of the American people.
“Today’s visit to the memorial was particularly moving. It is difficult to comprehend how such a vibrant and fast-paced city was struck by such devastation.
This memorial honors not only the unspeakable acts of bravery of those who saved others, but also the extraordinary loss: nearly 3,000 lives and tens of thousands who continue to suffer from related illnesses.
Yet, it also stands as a reminder of resilience, unity, and the spirit of New York and the United States,” Kurti wrote.
The Prime Minister is holding a series of important meetings during his stay in the U.S., including discussions with diaspora representatives, policymakers, and investors.
