Units of the Kosovo Police, in cooperation with Kosovo Customs, have intercepted a vehicle carrying suspected smuggled goods during a joint anti-smuggling operation in northern Kosovo.

The suspicious vehicle, reportedly moving at high speed without license plates, was stopped in mountainous areas near the villages of Banjska and Kamen. The individuals inside abandoned the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.

During the inspection, authorities discovered 32 sacks containing trousers (1,217 pairs of jeans) and one sack with 303 belts. In addition, Serbian license plates, a plastic fuel container, and a radio communication device were found inside the vehicle.

Kosovo Customs officials confiscated the smuggled goods, and, following instructions from the state prosecutor, the case will continue to be handled by customs authorities.
