As part of efforts to strengthen professional capacities and inter-institutional cooperation, the Kosovo Police—specifically the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (EOD)—in cooperation with the U.S. KFOR unit (US EOD), have conducted a joint training at the Special Units Base in “Vrellë”.
The training covered topics such as: “Intervention in suspected bomb packages” and “Opening a vehicle suspected of containing a bomb.”
The purpose of this activity was to enhance technical and operational capabilities for identifying and neutralizing improvised explosive devices (IEDs), as well as to improve coordinated response to emergency situations.
“This operational cooperation helps strengthen joint capabilities, facilitate the exchange of practical experiences, and increase readiness to face shared challenges in the field of public safety,” the Kosovo Police stated in their announcement.
