Kosovo Police Intervene in Prishtina, Arrest One, Seize Weapons and Ammunition

Last night, around 11:10 PM in Prishtina, Kosovo Police arrested a suspect who had fired shots from his home. The arrest was made by the specialized units of the Kosovo Police, NJSI and K-9.

“The male Kosovo citizen was arrested after he fired a firearm from his home. The specialized units of the Kosovo Police, NJSI and K-9, intervened and arrested the suspect,” reported the police.

During a search of the suspect’s home and adjacent buildings, the following items were found and confiscated: one hunting rifle, one short firearm pistol, 13 9mm rounds, 64 hunting rifle rounds, 12 9mm shells, two magazines, a belt for ammunition, two bulletproof vests, and a phone.

“No injuries have been reported. The suspect has been placed in detention for 48 hours, following a prosecutor’s order. The case is under investigation,” the police statement concluded.
