The Kosovo Police have urged citizens to exercise heightened caution while driving, due to adverse weather conditions, including rainfall, icy roads, and reduced visibility, which have significantly complicated traffic conditions across many road segments in the country.
To prevent traffic accidents and enhance road safety, drivers are advised to adjust their speed to current road conditions, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead, and use headlights when visibility is reduced.
Citizens are also encouraged to avoid risky maneuvers, such as unnecessary overtaking and sudden braking, and to ensure that their vehicles are properly equipped and technically prepared for winter conditions.
The Kosovo Police emphasized that they remain actively engaged in the field, monitoring and managing traffic flow, while stressing that public cooperation is essential to maintaining overall safety.
“Travel with caution. Your safety is our priority,” the Kosovo Police stated in their appeal.
