The Kosovo Police concluded today the global campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” which ran from November 25 to December 10, 2025, across all municipalities in the country.

During this period, under the project “The Voice That Once Was Silent, Is Now Heard,” the Kosovo Police carried out a series of nationwide awareness activities. These included the screening of sensitizing video spots, distribution of informational leaflets and posters, aiming to raise awareness on reporting domestic violence and protecting victims.

Through the continuous engagement of Community Policing units, the Police conducted informative meetings with citizens, students, local representatives, and partner institutions, with a special focus on preventing gender-based violence.

As a sign of solidarity and institutional commitment, the General Directorate of the Kosovo Police was illuminated in orange light from 5:00 PM to midnight, symbolizing global support for the campaign against gender-based violence.

“The Kosovo Police emphasizes once again that the fight against domestic and gender-based violence is not limited to 16 days—it is a daily responsibility and ongoing commitment. We encourage citizens to report any cases of violence by calling 192, the dedicated line 0800 19999, or via the ‘Report to Police’ app. Your voice saves lives. Kosovo Police – For a safe and just society for all,” the statement reads.
