The Kosovo Police, in collaboration with the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, has confirmed that it is conducting an operation related to suspected vote manipulation in the city.
Major Luljeta Mehmeti, spokesperson for the Kosovo Police, told Sinjali:
“The Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, are conducting an operation today in the Prizren region regarding suspected vote misuse. Details of this operation will be shared once it is completed.”
Earlier reports from reliable sources indicated that individuals detained during the operation are subject to 48-hour custody, as part of the investigation into alleged irregularities during the voting process. Authorities suspect that thousands of votes may have been transferred from one parliamentary candidate to another.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts by Kosovo authorities to ensure electoral integrity and uphold democratic standards in the country.
