Under the leadership of Director General Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, accompanied by senior management staff, the Kosovo Police held a coordination meeting to finalize the implementation plan for the “Local Elections 2025.”
According to the official announcement, the meeting gathered senior management officials, including department directors, division heads, and regional police directors, who were briefed on planning, assessments, and operational engagements aimed at ensuring security and smooth conduct of the electoral process, described as a highly significant event for the country.
During the meeting, Colonel Hoxha emphasized that maintaining a calm and safe environment for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as ensuring public order and safety before, during, and after the elections, is a top priority for the Police. He called for the plan to be implemented with professionalism and strong dedication, in close coordination with all other institutions involved in the process.
Participants also discussed the investigation and prosecution of any criminal acts against voting rights and the strict enforcement of legal measures against anyone violating laws related to free and democratic elections. These actions will be carried out in close cooperation with the State Prosecutor, in line with the legal frameworks and prior operational agreements.
