The Kosovo Police announced that during a follow-up investigation into Operation “Lugu”, conducted on August 6, 2025, additional quantities of cocaine were discovered.
According to the Directorate for Narcotics Trafficking Investigation, five vehicles previously seized during the operation were searched under a court order. During the inspection, carried out in the presence of a defense lawyer, officers found two bags containing approximately 35 grams of cocaine hidden inside one of the cars belonging to a male suspect.
Operation “Lugu,” executed earlier this month, had resulted in the arrest of six suspects on charges of drug trafficking. Police carried out raids at eight locations, including houses, apartments, and commercial premises, and shut down a duty-free shop suspected of being involved in illegal activity.
During those raids, authorities seized:
- 300 grams of cocaine (estimated street value €18,000)
- €13,294 in cash
- five vehicles
- two DVRs
All six suspects were interrogated in the presence of their defense lawyers and placed under 48-hour detention by order of the State Prosecutor.
The Kosovo Police emphasized that it remains committed to combating and preventing narcotics distribution across the country.
