Kosovo Police Inspectorate to Investigate Police Response in Lipjan Death

Following earlier reports by Gazeta Sinjali, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) has announced it will investigate the police response to the suspicious death of a 27-year-old man in Lipjan. The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning.

Suspicious Circumstances and Victim ID

Gazeta Sinjali identified the deceased as Agon Zejnullahu, 27. Sources indicate that Zejnullahu was seen under the influence of alcohol, moving erratically on “Haradin Bajrami” street, where he reportedly assaulted cars and passersby.

IPK Investigation Underway

The IPK has confirmed its involvement, stating, “The IPK, within its legal authorizations, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, will evaluate and investigate the police response in this case, while the case will be treated as ‘Investigation into death.'”

“IPK investigators, in full coordination with the State Prosecutor, will continue to undertake many investigative actions to clarify all circumstances related to this incident,” their announcement concluded.
