Kosovo Police Marks 26th Anniversary with Nationwide Activities

The Kosovo Police is celebrating its 26th anniversary with a series of events and activities across the country, culminating in a central ceremony scheduled for September 6, 2025.

As part of the program, the Community Policing Division is organizing activities with children and youth, including exhibitions by special police units. Sporting events, such as a volleyball match between the Kosovo Police and the Albanian State Police, are also part of the festivities.

The celebrations will conclude with the official central ceremony at the General Directorate of Kosovo Police in Pristina, with participation from senior state officials, the General Director of KP, senior management, and local as well as international dignitaries.

  • September 5, 2025 (Friday)
    • Community Policing Activities: Sheshi “Zahir Pajaziti,” Pristina (09:00–13:00)
    • Open Doors: Police Regional Directorates and local police stations (10:00–14:00)
  • September 6, 2025 (Saturday)
    • Volleyball Match: Kosovo Police vs. Albanian State Police, Pallati i Rinisë, Pristina (12:15)
    • Central Ceremony: Kosovo Police Headquarters (19:00)

Since its establishment on September 6, 1999, the Kosovo Police has grown into one of the most important state institutions, dedicated to ensuring law, order, and public safety.
