Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, issued a firm statement following a recent police operation in northern Kosovo, focusing on the investigation of the terrorist attack on the Ibër-Lepenci water canal. Sveçla, alongside Minister of Local Government Elbert Krasniqi, visited the village of Varagë in Zubin Potok to receive updates on the situation and discuss the ongoing efforts of law enforcement.

Sveçla stressed the significance of the attack on critical infrastructure and vowed that security forces would not rest until all those responsible were brought to justice. “If anyone believes we will stop here, they are mistaken. The investigation will uncover everything, and the perpetrators will be held accountable. The individuals who issued the orders will also face political consequences,” Sveçla declared.

Kosovo Police units are continuing their operations, conducting raids in various locations around the site of the explosion. Authorities have intensified their efforts to identify and arrest suspects involved in the attack on the Ibër-Lepenci canal, which has been described as one of the most severe assaults on Kosovo’s critical infrastructure in recent history
