The Kosovo Police have provided new details on two separate operations carried out yesterday in the northern municipalities of Zveçan and Leposaviq. The actions resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the discovery of hidden weapons and items with Serbian nationalist symbols.

Arrests in Leposaviq

In Leposaviq, police arrested a suspect after discovering he was selling T-shirts with nationalist and hate-inciting slogans, along with tasers and pepper spray. Police subsequently raided the suspect’s home as well.

In a separate case in the same municipality, another person was arrested after a raid on his home uncovered a significant number of weapons, including an AK-47 assault rifle with 47 rounds of ammunition, a hunting rifle, a pistol with two magazines, and an empty magazine. The suspect was taken into custody after questioning.

Hidden Weapons Stash in Zveçan

In Zveçan, police units on patrol in a forest discovered a cache of weapons hidden inside a sewer pipe. The seized items included two hunting rifles, a semi-automatic long gun, and 43 rounds of ammunition. Relevant police units and a demining team were dispatched to the scene to handle the case. The investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
