The Kosovo Police have issued a warning to citizens regarding fraudulent SMS messages claiming to be traffic fines from the “Kosovo Traffic Authorities.”

These messages contain malicious links designed to steal personal information or payment details. The Police emphasize that they have not sent any such messages.

Citizens are urged to:

  • Avoid clicking on suspicious links;
  • Never provide personal or bank card information;
  • Do not make payments via these links;
  • Delete any fraudulent messages immediately;
  • Report any payments made through these links to your bank and request cancellation; and
  • Inform the nearest police station about the incident.

The Kosovo Police remain committed to preventing and combating fraud and call on citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate in reporting suspicious activities.
