Political Leaders Still Meeting to Unblock Kosovo’s Political Stalemate

A meeting called by Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) leader Albin Kurti with political party leaders in the Kosovo Assembly has been underway for over an hour and a half, aiming to resolve the current political stalemate and discuss the constitution of the Assembly.

The meeting follows a Constitutional Court ruling that obliges the new Assembly to be constituted within 30 days.

Attendees at the meeting include:

  • Memli Krasniqi, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), along with Deputy Vlora Çitaku.
  • Lumir Abdixhiku, Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), and parliamentary group leader Hykmete Bajrami.
  • Time Kadrijaj, Deputy from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK).
  • Fatmir Limaj, Chairman of NISMA Social Democratic.
  • Mimoza Kusari-Lila, Chairwoman of Alternativa.
  • Faton Peci, leader of GUXO.
  • Representatives from non-majority community parties.
