The Central Election Commission (KQZ) of Kosovo has approved the allocation of over €3.6 million from the Fund for Supporting Political Entities for the period between April 1 and December 31, 2025.
At a meeting held Wednesday, Acting Director of the KQZ Secretariat, Besnik Buzhala, announced that €3,670,800 will be distributed among 15 political parties represented in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
In addition to the general distribution, an extra €106,898.31 has been allocated to support the work of Members of Parliament, based on the certified results of the February 14, 2021 parliamentary elections.
Vetëvendosje Opposes Funding for Serb List
Tensions surfaced during the session when Vetëvendosje’s KQZ representative, Sami Kurteshi, objected to the funding allocation for Lista Serbe (Serb List).
“I approve these allocations. But I will vote against the Serb List in every case,” Kurteshi stated firmly during the meeting.
Despite the objection, the overall funding proposal was passed.
