Kosovo Post has issued an important warning to citizens, urging them not to fall victim to fraudulent SMS messages that are circulating while falsely claiming to be sent on behalf of Kosovo Post.
In an official statement, the institution said that unknown individuals are sending scam messages to citizens, attempting to deceive them by using the name of Kosovo Post.
“Immediately after identifying this case, Kosovo Post informed the competent authorities and is cooperating closely with them to address the issue,” the statement said.
Kosovo Post emphasized that it communicates with citizens exclusively through official channels, including its official website, verified social media accounts, and official telephone numbers.
Citizens are strongly advised not to click on any links included in these fraudulent messages and not to engage with unknown or unofficial phone numbers or contacts.
“Under no circumstances does Kosovo Post request personal data or banking information via SMS or other unofficial channels,” the institution stressed, adding that similar scam attempts have been recorded in postal administrations across the region.
Kosovo Post called on citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious messages to the relevant authorities.
