Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has made a new appointment within the Office of the Prime Minister, naming Arlind Manxhuka as the Government Spokesperson.
This change marks a transition from a party role to an official state position for Manxhuka, who previously served as the Prime Minister’s Political Adviser.
According to the decision signed by the Prime Minister, Manxhuka will fulfill duties and responsibilities as defined by the Law on the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as undertake additional tasks assigned directly by the Prime Minister.
The official decree cites several legal bases, including Article 94 of the Constitution of Kosovo and provisions from the Law No. 08/L-117 on the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, confirming Manxhuka’s dual role as Government Spokesperson and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister.
As Government Spokesperson, Manxhuka is required to declare his assets in accordance with the Law on Declaration, Origin, and Control of Assets and Gifts (Law No. 08/L-108). His employment will end with the conclusion of the Prime Minister’s mandate, unless the appointment is terminated earlier.
Before this appointment, Manxhuka served as the spokesperson for the Vetëvendosje Movement, gaining recognition for strongly defending the party’s positions and the Prime Minister publicly.
