Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced during a government meeting last November a financial support package for the Kosovo national football team.
Kurti confirmed that €500,000 will be awarded to the team in the event of a victory against Slovakia.
“We have great news for our national team and the boys who make us proud in every match. For their historic success in this World Cup 2026 qualification campaign, advancing to the play-off stage, the government has decided to award a bonus of €250,000. As we enter the next stage, we do so with full confidence,” Kurti said.
He added, “Our trust in them is expressed through our commitments: first, in case of a win against Slovakia, we pledge a €500,000 bonus; second, if they qualify for the World Cup, we commit to an additional €1 million reward. Forward, Kosovo. Always with you!”
