In a significant step toward strengthening international cooperation, Saudi Arabia has officially approved the air transport services agreement with Kosovo, marking a key milestone in diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

According to Kosovo’s Embassy in Riyadh, the agreement was approved on Tuesday during a Saudi government session led by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

“The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia approved the Agreement between Kosovo and Saudi Arabia in the field of air transport services,” the embassy confirmed in a statement.

The agreement, initially signed in October 2024 in Prishtina, aims to facilitate direct air routes, enhance connectivity, and open doors for new commercial and tourism opportunities.

This development is seen as a strategic move that not only fosters closer diplomatic relations but also promotes economic integration and mobility between the Western Balkans and the Gulf region.
