The Kosovo Security Force (FSK) is participating in Operation Interflex in the United Kingdom, providing training to Ukrainian soldiers to help them counter Russian aggression. This deployment marks the fourth FSK contingent involved in the multinational operation.
FSK has been integrated into Echo Company, led by the New Zealand unit, which also includes forces from Estonia, Lithuania, and Kosovo. During the operation, Echo Company has already completed three training courses for Ukrainian personnel, while the FSK contingent continues to conduct five-week training programs.
According to the FSK, the training focuses on squad leadership, combat tactics from individual to squad level, offensive and defensive operations, troop leadership procedures (PUT), command and control, drone operations, and tactical shooting.
The contingent is also responsible for planning, logistical preparations, and course execution, emphasizing interoperability and cooperation with international partners.
“This operation allows FSK personnel to contribute directly to strengthening the capabilities of Ukrainian forces while reinforcing Kosovo’s commitment to international security,” the statement reads.
FSK’s participation in Operation Interflex underscores Kosovo’s active role in global military cooperation and its commitment to supporting allies in maintaining regional stability.
